MEET STEPHEN BALDWIN
Stephen Baldwin grew up in Greenbrier County. His mother, Jane Cobb, is from Ronceverte, and his father, Steve Baldwin, is from Renick. Stephen graduated from Greenbrier East High School in 2000 and went to Queens College in Charlotte, NC.
At college, he met the love of his life, Kerry Richardson. They began dating in 2001, married in 2007, and have one son, Harrison. After graduating from college with a bachelor’s degree in political science, he attended Vanderbilt University and earned a Master’s of Divinity. Fortunately, he and Kerry were able to move back home to West Virginia after graduation.
Stephen Baldwin serves as Pastor of Ronceverte Presbyterian Church. Kerry worked in hospitality at The Greenbrier until 2021 and now is a local real estate agent. As a family, they spend a lot of time outdoors–fishing, golfing, kayaking, and hiking.
Stephen’s record of public service includes being elected Moderator of the Presbytery of WV, member of the Greenbrier Board of Education, Delegate in the WV House, Senator, and Minority Leader of the WV Senate. Since 2017, he has served the people of Greenbrier, Fayette, Monroe, and Summers. After redistricting, he also serves the people of Nicholas County.
